P-259 Aircraft Apron and Supporting Facilities

Location:

Everett, WA

Project Overview:

This was a design-bid-build project to construct facilities that supported the addition of 24 new P-8A Poseidon aircrafts. This included demolition of several buildings and construction of a Low Rise Sonobuoy Facility, P-8A Rinse Facility and Low Rise Liquid Oxygen Facilities. Additionally, a 17 acre area was cleared to allow for the construction of a 399,987 sq foot concrete apron to house the new aircraft. Seamless coordination between all team members was critical during construction because of the tight window in which the project needed to be completed.

Services Provided:

GeoTest provided environmental consulting and sampling for this project. Working with the project team, GeoTest developed an environmental sampling and testing program that would fit within the project schedule.
