Lake Stevens High School Expansion and Modernizations

Project Overview:

This is a multiphased construction project anticipated to last at least 3 years. Design began in 2018 and school operations will continue throughout all phases of construction. Construction includes the expansion of new facilities including classrooms, music and athletic facilities, as well as student parking and bus loading areas. Also included are a number of upgrades to existing facilities inlcuding the swimming pool, heating and ventilation systems, roofing and electrical system, as well as the security and safety system.

Services Provided:

GeoTest provided geotechnical engineering services during the design phase of this project. Our services included observation of the installation (delete of the installation) of groundwater monitoring wells, infiltration assessment, bearing capacity assessment and liquefaction analysis. Our evaluation and results were used to provide recommendations for structural fill, drainage, utility considerations and pavement design.
