Project Overview:
Nooksack Valley School District built a new elementary school.
Services Provided:
GeoTest conducted soil and groundwater explorations to determine subsurface conditions and document soil types. Laboratory testing was provided on representative samples to classify and evaluate the engineering characteristics of the site soils, such as on-site infiltration capabilities. Exploration of shallow subsurface conditions were conducted using methods designed to compliment general pavement recommendations. GeoTest provided a written report documenting findings pertaining to subsurface conditions, exploration logs, site preparation, grading, structural elements, on-site soil reuse, and structural fill compaction. This project also included consultation for foundation support, lateral earth pressures, seismic, and excavation considerations.
