Downtown Flood Protection

Project Overview:

This project was part of a FEMA certified flood protection plan and incorporated redevelopment plans for the revitalization of the downtown area. Site development and design focused on retaining the downtown’s historic character while allowing for future economic opportunities and investment. Construction included two new rain garden facilities and a pervious pavement plaza.

Services Provided:

GeoTest provided construction materials testing and inspection throughout the multiple phases of this project. During construction our services included soil and asphalt compaction, reinforced concrete inspection, structural steel and welding inspection, as well as vibration monitoring.
